Colline de la Boissière, Rosny-sous-Bois, colour renovation of facades
Les Collines de la Boissière is a residential complex in the town of Rosny-sous-Bois. a3dc successfully completed its colour assessment assignment in collaboration with Stéphane Burlet, the architectural firm responsible for the project. Several proposals for colour palettes and distribution graphics were presented to the syndic, who selected two projects. These projects were then put to the vote of the co-owners at an exhibition organised by a3dc.
The energy renovation and colour enhancement project involves a 300-unit condominium complex comprising three high-rise towers and a small block of flats. Designed by the renowned architect Jean de Mailly, these collective buildings are strategically located on a hill, giving them great visibility.
For a3dc, the challenge was twofold: on the one hand, to make it easier for residents to find their way around by defining a signage colour for each tower; and on the other, to ensure that these towers blend seamlessly into the urban landscape, even from a great distance.
To meet this challenge, a progressive approach to colour was proposed. On the first levels of the towers, at pedestrian level, a more saturated and dense colour was selected. On the other hand, as the floors progressed, the colours were desaturated and the density of the colours was reduced. This approach makes it possible to offer a singular colour treatment while ensuring perfect integration into the urban and natural environment.
